The atmospheric theatre seats 594 in the stalls, balcony, gallery and boxes. All seats face the stage. Rows 6, 8 and 10 row in the stalls are raised, while the box row is not enclosed, so total visibility is guaranteed for all. Ideal for theatre, concerts, cabaret, cinema, balls, conferences and congresses. The Stadttheater can look back over 100 years of history. In 1904, it was first used as a theatre, but in the late 1980s it was leased by the City of Wels and used for theatre and concert events, art house cinema, presentations and representative cultural and social events. In 2016, the theatre was finally bought by the City of Wels. State-of-the-art technology enables the staging of all kinds of event and makes evenings here an unforgettable experience.
