Parking

Wels has more than 2,000 surface parking spaces in the city centre alone as well as 1,162 parking spaces in parking garages and a modern parking guidance system.  Short-term parking zone subject to charges: € 0.50 per ½ hour. (A minimum charge of € 0.10 for 6 minutes applies) Pay 1 hour (€ 1,–) - park for 2 hours. Free parking during the day from 12 pm – 1 pm, Sat from 12 pm onwards, as well as all day on Sundays and public holidays. There is no charge for electric cars (parking meter is mandatory due to a time limit of 2 hours). In Sattledt and Kremsmünster parking is free of charge; a parking meter is required in the short-term parking zones.
