Mountain Christmas at Stadtplatz

With more than 60 town houses from all important style epochs, the Wels town square is one of the most beautiful historical architectural ensembles across all of Austria. During the Advent season, it is transformed into a 
sparkling alpine hut village, while tradition is very important at the “Mountain Christmas”. In a cozy village of historic larch wood huts, wonderfully fragrant winter specialties are served and presented, local handicrafts are 
shown and of course for sale. The large panorama hut with what is probably the largest Christ Child in the world with unique lighting outshines the entire town square. Choirs from the region sing on the Almdorf stage, there is live music and handicraft demonstrations. The sun terrace offers a heavenly view over the town square to the Ledererturm.
