#gemmaeishalle EHC Fire on Ice Wels was founded on 5 March 2007 by Manuel Egles and Martin Hönigl. After a few years in which the club was built up, the cracks trained eagerly. In the 2012/13 season, EHC Fire on Ice Wels once again took part in the 3rd Upper Austrian regional league. The club consists of players, members and numerous volunteers. In the 2012/13 season, the team achieved 3rd place in the 3rd Upper Austrian regional league. On 22 February 2014, they won the championship for the first time in the club's history. Since the 2019/20 season, the team has participated in the Upper Austrian Amateur Ice Hockey League (OÖAHL). On 7 March 2020, EHC Fire on Ice Wels was crowned undefeated champion in this league.

EHC Fire on Ice Wels is a club registered in the central register of associations and has around 70 members. Of these, around 40 are active players in two teams on the ice.
