Welser Energy path

The Welser Energy path displays the conscious handling of the City of Wels with energy.

The various energy forms are represented on several locations. The issues of hydropower, fuel cell technology and solar energy are treated in the same way as the ecological footprint, mobility, lighting and nutrition. The City of Wels is trying to find new ways to accomplish fair purchasing and to reduce the ecological footprint, particularly in terms of future-orientation, fairness and the need of saving resources. The route starts at the Main Train Station of Wels and leads through the city center. The stops along the route are companies and research facilities as well as individual exhibits, which are dedicated to the theme of energy in various forms. Particular attention is paid to the focus of sustainability and the use of renewable energy technologies.
 
Finally, the path ends up at the Welios Energy.Experience.House, the first Science Center of Austria in the field of renewable energy.
