Path of Remembrance

The Path of Rememberance is ment to remind us on Welser citizens who were persecuted and victims of National Socialism because of their descent or political resistance.

Altogether, the remembrance path consists of eleven stations. These stations are buildings, in which victims of fascist and / or fascist government systems have lived or worked in Wels. Signs tell the most significant facts of the particular personality (s). The guided tour of the entire route takes about 90 minutes. The goal of this tour is to sharpen and strengthen the awareness of the importance of democratic behavior in society as well as in politics.
