Wels Christmas World

Wels Christmas World creates a warm and cosy atmosphere from  23 November to 24 December 2018. Experience the magic at every turn during Advent.

Simply heavenly ... Wels, the eight-biggest city in Austria, puts on its festive garb for the Christkind (Christ Child) every year. The whole city shines and sparkles. The way is paved for the Christkind with lots of festive experiences at five Christmas markets. The Christkind has found its home in the heavenly kingdom at the top of the Ledererturm, a medieval tower. Visitors to Wels Christmas World will find everything their heart desires, thanks to the special attention paid to quality, tradition and provenance.

A wide range of offers

... at Stadtplatz

Stadtplatz in Wels transforms itself into a sparkling Alpine village again this year. The large Panorama Hut, with probably the biggest Christkind in the world, has unique lighting that shines out across the entire Stadtplatz. On the Alpine village stage there are choirs from the region, there’s live music or demonstrations of handicrafts. The sun terrace offers a heavenly view across Stadtplatz towards the Ledererturm.

Just outside is Austria’s first Christmas brewery - the brewing doesn’t actually take place here, but the best beer gifts and beer varieties are available to buy.
