Due to Angerlehnter’s passion for contemporary art he businessman collected paintings in over 30 years. This collection of contemporary art was the basis of the Angerlehner Museum. The focus of the extensive collection is on paintings from 1950 onwards. Drawings, photographs and sculptures supplement the exhibition. In a sense of a conscious confession to his own region, there is a special focus on works by Upper Austrian artists. In addition to this national as well as international art create a fascinating artistic field. The numerous works of the Angerlehner collection were all selected on the basis of personal enthusiasm. There is no strict collection concept, but an exciting variety.
The Museum Angerlehner has a spacious foyer with a museum shop and a small café. You can also rent the multifunctional museum hall for cultural as well as for company events. A varied program of exhibitions and art programs, which invites different age groups to an inspiring encounter with contemporary art, completes the offer.
